The Cambridge University Amateur Boxing Club (CUABC) is one of the toughest and most prestigious sports teams in Cambridge. Each season, around 250 men and women compete for one of the coveted 12 places on the Varsity Team. The annual Varsity Match against Oxford University Amateur Boxing Club (OUABC) is the longest-running inter-club amateur boxing fixture in the world, and the inaugural Women's Varsity Match took place in the Oxford Town Hall in 2016.

The foundations of the modern rules of boxing were created at Cambridge University, and CUABC is one of the world's oldest amateur boxing clubs. Our alumni include world leaders, professional athletes, artists and academics.

Visceral and exhilarating, CUABC is an experience like no other. Join us.

the Varsity mATCH

For over a century, the annual Varsity Match between the university amateur boxing clubs of Oxford and Cambridge has been contested to claim the Truelove Bowl, suspended only during the First and Second World Wars.

In 2017, Cambridge became the first victors of the Women's Varsity Match, winning the Kyniska Cup. The inaugural match in 2016 ended in a draw. Cambridge won the 2nd and 3rd Varisty matches, and the Varsity has been paused for the last two years.

As of Varsity 114, the score is 56 Cambridge, 54 Oxford, 4 draws.

Varsity 115 will be fought in Cambridge.
